The challenge

Jama Trading B.V. in Enschede is a food wholesaler with a wide range: drinks, tea and coffee, spices, nuts, rice and grains, canned goods, dairy, biscuits and snacks, olive oil and non-food items. The company sells both in its own store and online, and that came with a familiar problem: two separate systems mean double work and a stock count that never quite adds up. Jama needed one solution in which the webshop and the in-store till work together, with a range customers can search quickly and a checkout that feels familiar and safe. ## The solution We built a clear webshop on Laravel and FleetCart, with a well-structured category layout and a search function that takes customers straight to the right product. We connected the webshop to a point of sale (POS) system for in-store sales. Online and offline sales use the same products and the same stock, so every sale, whether at the counter or through the website, is reflected across the whole system right away. Customers create an account, view their order history, save products to a wishlist and compare items side by side. Checkout runs securely through Mollie, with familiar payment methods such as iDEAL. The webshop is available in several languages, including Dutch, English and Arabic, so Jama's diverse customer base feels at home straight away. ## Key features - Webshop with clear categories for food and non-food products - Search, wishlist and product comparison - Point of sale (POS) system for in-store sales - One shared product catalogue and stock for online and in-store - Secure online checkout through Mollie - Customer account with order history and reviews - Multilingual store, including Dutch, English and Arabic - Admin panel for products, prices, stock and orders ## Technology The webshop runs on Laravel with FleetCart as its e-commerce foundation, extended with a POS module that works with the same product data and stock. Payments are handled by the Mollie integration. The design is fully responsive, so ordering on a phone is just as easy as on a desktop. ## Result Jama Trading now runs its store and webshop from a single system. The team enters products and prices once, sees stock in one place and no longer has to reconcile sales between the till and the website by hand. Customers can browse, search and order the full range online, while the store keeps selling with the same up-to-date data.
