The challenge

A perfume shop in Germany has specific needs: a large collection in which every fragrance comes in several sizes and concentrations, customers who speak different languages and strict German legal requirements for selling online. JD Parfums in Neunkirchen wanted a webshop that brings its full collection online and handles all of this properly. The shop also had to inspire trust, so that customers feel confident ordering a fragrance online.

The solution

We built a webshop in German, Dutch, English and Arabic. The full collection is online, with variants per size and concentration, each with its own price and SKU, so customers always see exactly what they are buying. Fragrances are grouped for men, women and unisex, and there are seasonal collections and a section for offers. The shop includes the legal pages required in Germany, such as terms and conditions, a privacy policy and a cookie policy, and checks out securely through Mollie. In Arabic, the entire shop works from right to left. Customers can create an account to follow their orders, save favourites to a wishlist and compare fragrances.

Technology

The shop runs on Laravel with FleetCart as its e-commerce foundation, extended with a variant structure for sizes and concentrations and four language versions, including right-to-left layout for Arabic. Payments are handled by Mollie.

Result

JD Parfums now sells its full collection online to customers in Germany and beyond, in their own language. Customers choose exactly the size and concentration they want, the shop meets German legal requirements and the team manages products, prices and orders from one admin panel.
