Lazurde Sweets, with branches in Essen and Dortmund, wanted a website that conveys warmth and craftsmanship, speaks to both German-speaking and Arabic-speaking customers and makes ordering easy, while the team can update the specialities and photos itself. The site also had to be easy to find for people searching for Arabic sweets in the region. ## The solution We designed a warm, luxurious website with a Damascene character, inspired by traditional mother-of-pearl inlay, that suits handmade baklava, kunafa and maamoul. The site is bilingual in German and Arabic, with right-to-left layout for Arabic, and fast on every device. Customers browse the specialities, each with its own page, look through the gallery and see both branches with address, opening hours and a route link. The design uses Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js. Customers in both cities find the right branch and send an order request in their own language, and the team updates specialities, photos and texts itself without technical help.
